If she already has a cruise booked, consider supplying mom with some instant onboard credit (read: money) that she can use toward a spa treatment, shore excursion, drink package, or other mom-pampering perks on board. Check the cruise line’s web site, as most now offer the option to purchase gift cards (and other cruise merchandise) for sailing cruise guests.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but you don’t have to be an arty to put together a memorable cruise keepsake for mom. Gather up photos from her past travels and then check out sites such as Shutterfly, MyPublisher, or Apple to easily create one of the most thoughtful and unique gifts mom will ever get.

Charm Bracelet

Nothing says “I love travel” then charms hanging off moms wrist. If mom is the type who likes to document her cruises, consider getting her a nice travel journal — complete with fancy pen and pockets for ticket stubs, of course —that she can take on her upcoming cruises. She’ll be able to keep track of her experiences along the way, and will eventually have a collection of memories to share with friends and family members.
