A Scenic Sequel: Scenic Eclipse II to Launch in 2020
Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours, having already piqued the interest of adventurous cruisers and luxury-accommodation lovers alike with the upcoming summer debut of Scenic Eclipse, has announced a second “6-star” Discovery Yacht, set for a maiden voyage from Athens to Lisbon in 2020.
“Since we first announced our foray into ocean cruising, we have had unprecedented interest in Scenic Eclipse from guests keen to experience our unique blend of 6-star luxury meets expedition cruising,” says Glen Moroney, Scenic founder and chairman. “The debut of Scenic Eclipse II will not only allow us to expand our offering and pioneer new destinations, such as the Russian Arctic, it will also allow us to continue our passion for innovation in design and innovation in handcrafted itineraries, which we are confident will appeal to a wide variety of guests.”
The Russian Arctic is one of the remote destinations among many that Scenic Eclipse II will visit during its maiden sailing season. Travelers will also have the opportunity to navigate spectacular territories including the Northwest Passage, Southern Greenland, Alaska, Antarctica, and beyond. A full itinerary is expected to be released in April.
Scenic Eclipse II will be built in Pula, Croatia (where Scenic Eclipse is currently being constructed), and will boast many of the same features of its sister ship: 114 all-verandah suits; 9 restaurants; 8 bars and lounges; a spa; indoor, outdoor, and plunge pools; a marina deck; helicopters; and a submarine.
Scenic Eclipse floated out on January 31 and is set to debut on August 31, 2018.
