  • Princess Cruises has teamed up with Amazon’s Kindle Love Stories to bring you a series of stories each inspired by the authors’ own experience sailing to the Caribbean with Princess. Aboard the 5-day November 3, 2015, cruise on Regal Princess, the new program will kick off with four of today’s best-selling romance authors: Heather Burch, Barbara Longley, Carolyn Brown, and Linda Lael Miller, who will be on board for book signings, Q&A sessions, and more.
  • Hurtigruten has announced the winning name in its “Name our Newest Ship” Facebook contest — MS Spitsbergen. The name was chosen from more than 15,000 name suggestions, submitted from around the world since July. The winner of the naming contest is Erlend Baldersheim from the village of Baldersheim, close to Bergen, Norway. He and a friend will be guests of the captain on a special sailing aboard the new ship.
  • Oceania Cruises has announced two special Mediterranean voyages aboard the 1,250-passenger Marina guaranteed to appeal to culinary aficionados and long-standing fans of the line. Jacques Pépin, the legendary master chef and longtime executive culinary director for Oceania Cruises, will host the Jacques Pépin Cruise on November 1, 2016. The Venice to Rome voyage will include book signings, meet-and-greets, and a special culinary demonstration hosted by Pépin. During the 10-day cruise, guests will be treated to specially designed menus in the restaurants, epicurean-infused shore excursions, and hands-on culinary instruction, all focused on highlighting Pépin’s signature style. The next sailing will host the 13thannual Oceania Cruises Reunion Cruise. Departing on November 11, 2016, this Mediterranean voyage is open to all guests, but offers premium amenities for Oceania Club members, or past guests of Oceania Cruises. Extras for Oceania Club members include special cocktail parties, celebratory dinners, wine pairing events in La Reserve by Wine Spectator, exclusive shore excursions, a reunion cruise gift, and other surprises.
