• Regent Seven Seas Cruises recently revealed mockups of the new suites aboard Seven Seas Explorer (summer 2016). With an intricate design inspired by sapphire jewelry, 55 Penthouse Suites feature brilliant blue accents; handcrafted, custom-made furnishings; and expansive private verandas that stretch out nearly 10 feet. The 140 Concierge Suites, measuring up to 460 square feet each, were designed after the luxurious vacation homes of Cape Cod, with a focus on function, craftsmanship, and luxury materials, a design concept shared by the 88 Superior Suites.

• Theme-cruise organizer Broadway Theatre Cruises announced its inaugural cruise, Sailing with the Stars, a 7-night Caribbean voyage departing November 5, 2016, aboard Celebrity Reflection. The cruise will feature exclusive access to seasoned Broadway stars such as Lee Roy Reams, Robert Cuccioli, and Eden Espinosa, who have starred in 42^nd Street, The Producers, Jekyll & Hyde, Les Misérables, Spiderman, Wicked, and Rent, among others. Onboard events include private cabaret shows and concerts, opening- and closing-night cocktail parties, special dinners, a Q&A session with the stars, and more.

• Emerald Waterways held a dual-christening event on August 21 in Budapest as it officially launched its two newest Star Ships, Emerald Dawn and Emerald Sun. The new ships carry 182 guests each and feature innovations such as a two solo staterooms; a heated pool with a retractable roof that transforms into a movie theater in the evening; two restaurants (Reflections, the main dining room, and The Terrace, which serves breakfast and lunch); and a new stateroom design that replaces the standard French balcony with an indoor balcony complete with a decked area and an open-air system.
