Next Stop Flavortown: Guy Fieri Teams With Carnival Cruise Line

There’s a new port of call aboard Carnival Horizon and it has everyone’s mouth watering.

Okay, fine. Flavortown isn’t a real place, but that’s no matter for celebrity chef Guy Fieri and his new restaurant onboard the ship, Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse.

Cruise Ship Dining

Food Network Star Guy Fieri

Fieri, a Food Network star known for his outrageous frosted tips and for being a hedonist with all things delicious, first got into the cruise ship restaurant industry in 2011 when he partnered with Carnival to open Guy’s Burger Joint on a number of ships in their fleet.

The new restaurant combines your smokehouse BBQ favorites with a unique selection of beer taps, including the ParchedPig, a brew crafted just for Carnival by the line’s own brewmaster, Colin Presby. Each batch is brewed and served on board, meaning your beer is as fresh as it gets. The selection of meats are cooked on the promenade deck in dual electric smokers which utilize the flavor of real hickory chips for unmatched authenticity.

Fun, as well as food, is a staple at any Guy Fieri restaurant. Each item on the menu reflects Guy’s unique personality and flair. For those who love sides, dive into the Mac Daddy Mac N Cheese or chow down on the Old Skool Potato Salad. Spice your meal up with help from the hot sauce bar or try one of Guy’s signature BBQ sauces like the award-winning Bourbon Brown Sugar or sweet and tangy Carolina #6.

Carnival Cruise Line’s focus on establishing a wonderful guest experience is evident with their push to bring great barbecue and beer to their fleet. Hungry guests aren’t happy guests so the new smokehouse helps keep the fun going.
