New Regent ship to feature $10,000-per-night suite

Cruise News – Jan. 16, 2015

For cruisers who demand the very best, Regent Seven Seas Cruises says the opulent, 3,875-square-foot suite on the 750-passenger Seven Seas Explorer will be the most luxurious cruise ship suite ever.

The price tag matches the claim, about $5,000 per person per night. For that, you get not only a house-sized and very cushy space to hang out, but also the first-of-its-kind-at-sea feature of a private relaxation spa, complete with sauna, steam room, and massage area and heated ceramic loungers.

Other special features of the two-bedroom suite include an outdoor, glass-enclosed sitting area, the Vista Garden, plus a glass-enclosed hot tub overlooking the ship’s bow.

The ship, set to debut in July 2016 for its first Europe season, will also showcase extravagant updates to such popular Regent spaces as the Prime 7 steakhouse, which will get a sexy, new purple-and-silver décor, and the Observation Lounge, being remade in 1920s style.

With more space per passenger than any other ship — and what the line says are the largest verandas in the industry — Regent has been touting for months that Seven Seas Voyager will be the “world’s most luxurious cruise ship.”
