Mouthwatering moments aboard Seabourn’s first-ever Food & Wine cruise

Those who take on cruise lines’ culinary efforts know there is a lot at stake. After all, a big part of the cruise experience has always been dining, whether it’s 24-hour room service, a midnight buffet, the main restaurant, or a formal occasion that calls for the best of culinary creations.
In the world of luxury cruise dining, much like fine dining on land, the menu and wine list can often define a venue. On the intimate ships of Seabourn, a more discerning clientele expects the best — and Seabourn delivers. Simply tagging a special sailing as a Food & Wine cruise would be a natural extension of what Seabourn does every day. Crafting an at-sea experience that builds on a solid foundation of culinary excellence; that’s another matter altogether.
More Than the Standard (Fabulous) Fare
On any Seabourn sailing, signature events include a Caviar Sail Away, Champagne in the Surf, or Shopping with the Chefs, depending on when and where itineraries call around the world. So the bar is already set high.
Still, a note waiting in our suite from Seabourn Sojourn’s Captain Karlo Buer foreshadowed something more, as he invited us to “take advantage of all the special touches” planned throughout the line’s inaugural Food & Wine cruise.
