Abercrombie & Kent Announces New Cuba by Land & Sea Cruise

Cruise News – May 11, 2016

Abercrombie & Kent, which has been offering people-to-people travel to Cuba since 2013, now combines its expertise in experiential travel with small ship cruising by creating a new Cuba by Land & Sea: A People-to-People Cruise for March 2017.

Centrally located hotels in Havana and Santiago de Cuba provide access to the rich arts and cultural scene, while a 7-night cruise aboard the 58-guest three-masted sailing yacht Le Ponant allows time to explore the coastline and surrounding waters.

“Cuba has so much to offer that we have been working on new ways for our guests to see more of the country,” explains Bob Simpson, Abercrombie & Kent Vice President of Expedition Cruising. “This itinerary combines the most popular elements of our land programs with more remote regions like colonial Trinidad and the pristine waters of Punta Francés [Nature Reserve].”

As part of the people-to-people experience, for which participation is mandatory, travelers will learn about Cuban architecture, arts, music, and dining through intimate, one-on-one encounters with local residents.
