President’s Cruises set for 2012
In honor of President’s Day, Porthole Cruise Magazine wanted to point out a unique theme offering that you might not be aware of: President’s Cruises. If you’re a loyal fan to one particular line or would simply like the chance to interact and learn from the company’s president, check to see if the line offers one of these special cruises that are hosted by the company’s president.
President’s Cruises typically feature special onboard events, hosted parties, gala dinners, and perhaps even an optional President’s excursion. And since many are offered on small-ship lines, you really get a chance to learn firsthand about the line’s history as well as other insights that you won’t find in the brochures.
Examples of upcoming President’s Cruises scheduled for 2012 include:
- Azamara Club Cruises’ president and CEO, Larry Pimentel, and his wife, Sandi, will host two President’s Voyages this year: The first, March 26-April 12 is an Asia cruise from Hong Kong to Singapore aboard Azamara Quest, followed by a Red Sea cruise November 5-15 roundtrip from Sokhna (near Cairo). - AmaWaterways’ President Rudi Schreiner will host a President’s Wine Cruise aboard AmaDagio, after its repositioning to Marseille, France, to operate 7-night cruises on the Rhone River.
